Six Nations: Tied at top at half-way stage after Mike Brown inspires England to beat Ireland

This weekend was some of the best rugby I have watched in a while. All three games were exciting, intense and great to watch.
Wales, needing a pick-me-up, came back from their crushing defeat by Ireland to totally dominate France.
Saturday then followed with three hours of edge-of-the-seat viewing – starting with a stirring game at the Stadio Olimpico.
Both Italy and Scotland went into the round three match with no points on the board and both desperate to get ahead. Each half belonged to one team – Italy the first and Scotland the second – but neither put in the effort for the full 80 minutes. I was convinced it was Italy’s to take home, until the very last seconds. Amazing.
The red rose’s XV needed to do something different. Stuart Lancaster stuck with his decision to add youth and fresh enthusiasm by selecting, for the third time running, the same team.
