New Year New Sporting Challenge

Sport Relief is back, but it's new and exciting

Sports Relief is not new to us, many of us all over the country have been taking part since 2002 whether it was running a mile or three but now they are going one step further in their quest to help people all over the UK through sporting events.

The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Games, launched late last year by Denise Van Outen, offers the opportunity for everyone to take part in not just running but swimming and cycling too.

Many of us are looking for some motivation to kick start the new year fitness plan, wanting to try something new or would like a stepping stone with training goals then the events set up over the weekend of 21 - 23 March come at the ideal time.

"I love Sport Relief and even took part in a mile event when I was pregnant! This year I'm going to do something more challenging and swim 5km." Denise Van Outen

Whether you fancy having a go with the family and friends or want to push yourself to a new PB there are activities from the 1 mile run, 3 mile cycle and 1.5km swim right up to the challenging 6 mile run, 50 mile cycle or 5km swim. Enter now here.

There is something for everyone to guarantee a fun day with everyone working for a very worthy cause. Children can enter for as little as £3 and adult events start from £10*. Money being raised will go to some of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the UK and around the world.
